Join us on Saturday May 5th, 2018 in remembering your loved ones by participating in our 8th Annual Walk to Remember around Rice Lake in Maple Grove.<\/p>\n

This year we will also have a ribbon cutting ceremony for the beautiful new Angel of Hope expanded space. The celebration will be a wonderful experience for all!<\/p>\n

The walk begins at the Angel of Hope Garden, located at the Maple Grove Arboretum \u2014 9400 Fernbrook Lane, Maple Grove, MN 55369.<\/p>\n

Registration and Check in<\/strong>: 9:00 a.m.
\nRemembrance Gathering:<\/strong> 10:00 a.m.
\nWalk Begins:<\/strong> 10:30 a.m.
\nEvent ends<\/strong>: 2:00 p.m.
\nLunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

Deadline for pre-registrations is April 14, 2018. Those registering the day of the event cannot be guaranteed a T-shirt and\/or lunch.

\nWalk is limited to 350 participants, so early registration is encouraged. Please leave pets at home.<\/span><\/p>\n

What can\/can’t I bring to the event?<\/strong>
\nWe encourage you to leave your pets at home. You may bring your own water or take advantage of our water stations along the route. Due to limited seating, we’d also encourge you to bring a picnic blanket to eat lunch on, This is a non-smoking event.<\/p>\n

What are my parking options at the event?<\/strong>
\nThere are two lots available at the Arboretum and additional parking is available at Arbor View Early Childhood Center and the Emmanual Christian Center (northwest corner of 93rd Avenue and Fernbrook Lane). Attendants will be in place to direct traffic.<\/p>\n

What facilities are available?<\/strong>
\nPortable restrooms will be available.<\/p>\n

What time should I arrive for same day registration?<\/strong>
\nWe encourage you to arrive by 9:00 am, but recommend registering by April 14 to guarantee a T-shirt and lunch.<\/p>\n

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?<\/strong>
\nIt is not required.<\/p>\n

What is the weather cancellation policy?<\/strong>
\nThis is a rain or shine event.<\/p>\n

What other activities are available?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nSome activities include kids’ craft table, face painting, and DJ entertainment.<\/p>\n

Can I donate to the Renovation Project? <\/strong>Yes, you can donate for toward the renovation on our website or at the Walk to Remember. There are opportunities for your honor your loved one with a garden bench, angel lighting, or even the water feature or arbor. Email us with any questions, info@friendsoftheangel.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Can I order a Personalized Photo Remembrance Sign?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nPersonalized Photo Remembrance signs are posted along the trail of the Walk to Remember and are $10 each. Your sign can include one of the following: a photograph, a poem, or other artwork. Submission is due by April 14, 2018.<\/strong>
\nSend an email to president@friendsoftheangel.org<\/strong><\/a> including the following information:
\n\u2022 Your name and your loved one\u2019s name in the subject line.
\n\u2022 Digital photo\/artwork of the highest possible resolution jpg format to fit an 8\u201d X 10\u201d space.
\n\u2022 Personalized Sign Information limited to 2 lines each with 25 characters max, for instance:

\nSept 30, 1964 – Mar 29, 2006<\/p>\n

We promise to do our best to make sure all signs are completed as specified; however, no refunds will be given.<\/p>\n

Can I mail in my registration form?\u00a0<\/strong>
\nYes, you can mail in your advanced registration form with a check made out to Friends of the Angel. You can download the registration forms on our website. Envelopes must be post marked by April 14th to qualify for advanced registration.<\/p>\n
