Our 6th Annual Walk to Remember is a week away! We have been planning for this day for months and dreaming about how we can make it the most special day for you to honor the memory of your loved ones. This event is unique because it is a time to spend with other families who also are missing their loved ones. Many families come every year and for others it will be their first time. Either way, walkers can sense\u00a0they are not alone.

Walk with us on May 7th as we honor the memory of our loved ones. Our 6th annual Walk to Remember is a 4.5 mile walk around Rice Lake in Maple Grove and includes photo remembrance signs along the path and activities for kids. There is no requirement to walk the full 4.5 miles. We provide 1\/2 mile and mile markers along the way.<\/p>\n

After registration and check-in at 9 AM and a brief remembrance gathering at 10 AM, the walk will begin around\u00a010:30 AM. Pre-registrations have closed at this time and they include a guarantee of a t-shirt and a boxed lunch. Same day registration is $25, and t-shirt and lunch are not guaranteed.<\/p>\n

FAQs<\/strong><\/p>\n

What can\/can’t I bring to the event?
\n<\/strong>We encourage you to leave your pets at home. You may bring your own water or take advantage of our water stations along the route. You can bring your own blanket or chairs to eat the lunch as a picnic. We will provide a limited amount of tables and chairs. This is a non-smoking event.<\/p>\n

What are my parking options at the event?
\n<\/strong>There are two lots available at the Arboretum and additional parking is available at Arbor View Early Childhood Center. Attendants will be in place to direct traffic.<\/p>\n

What facilities are available?
\n<\/strong>Portable restrooms will be available.<\/p>\n

What time should I arrive for same day registration?
\n<\/strong>We encourage you to arrive by 9:00 am but recommend registering by April 21st to guarantee a T-shirt and lunch.<\/p>\n

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
\n<\/strong>It is not required.<\/p>\n

What is the weather cancellation policy?
\n<\/strong>This is a rain or shine event.<\/p>\n

What other activities are available?<\/strong>
\nSome activities include kids’ craft table, face painting, and DJ entertainment.<\/p>\n

Can I order a Personalized Photo Remembrance Sign?<\/strong>
\nPersonalized Photo Remembrance signs are posted along the trail of the Walk to Remember and are $10 each. Your sign can include one of the following: a photograph, a poem, or other artwork. Submission is due by May 1, 2016.<\/p>\n
